Chris Jones' groin injury is slightly alarming turn for Chiefs in training camp
Hopefully the Chiefs stay patient in their approach with Chris Jones this preseason. It's impossible to overstate Chris Jones's importance to the Kansas City Chiefs. There's a reason why Chiefs general manager Brett Veach pulled out the checkbook for yet another contract extension for the veteran defensive tackle and added a significant number of zeroes to the final total. For a team willing to watch so many others walk—think Charvarius Ward, L'Jarius Sneed, et al.—re-upping Jones was a no-brainer this offseason. He's just that important.

Chiefs charity spotlight: 15 and the Mahomies
After six straight seasons as the leader of the Kansas City Chiefs, it's pretty easy to see that quarterback Patrick Mahomes is one of the best players to ever step on the field. He's a 3x Super Bowl winner, 3x Super Bowl MVP, 2x NFL MVP, 2x First Team All-Pro. Yet all of that pales in comparison to what he does off the field.
