Teachers union sues CCS over substitute teacher contracts
COLUMBUS, Ohio — The union representing teachers and substitute teachers inside Columbus City Schools is suing the district, claiming CCS violated state law. The union said the district notified 28 building substitutes that their contracts were not being renewed for the upcoming school year. Commissions Don’t Support Plan for Skinny Franklinton Tower
A proposal to build a mixed-use development on a tenth-of-an-acre lot in Franklinton has not gone over well with the two commissions that have voted on it so far. Rob Ellis, of Pink Development and Construction, unveiled a plan in May to build an 11-story, 81-unit building at 278 S. Glenwood Ave., a vacant lot located between two warehouse-style buildings. OhioHealth announced an expansion of its Dublin Methodist Hospital Tuesday, the site's biggest expansion yet amid a slew of growth of Columbus' major health systems.
