    London baseball places five on Texas Sports Writers Association Class 3A all-state team

    The state semifinalist London baseball team was well represented on the Class 3A Blue Bell/Texas Sports Writers Association all-state team released on Tuesday.

    The Pirates had three first-team selections to pace the area.

    First baseman Landon Salinas, second baseman Mason Jacon and outfielder RJ Olivares were all named to the first team.

    Shortstop Aiden Salinas was voted second team and pitcher Blake Watters was named to the third team.

    London became the first Coastal Bend team to advance to the UIL State Tournament in four consecutive seasons.

    Falfurrias sophomore pitcher Nathaniel Jaramillo was named honorable mention on the team.

    Freer's Peyton Borden was named honorable mention as a pitcher on the Class 2A team.
