Five London baseball players highlight Texas Sports Writers Association all-state team

Five London baseball players were named to the Blue Bell/Texas Sports Writers Association Class 3A All-State Baseball Team released on Tuesday.

First baseman Landon Salinas, second baseman Mason Jacob and outfielder RJ Olivares were named first-team all-state after helping lead the Pirates back to the UIL Class 3A state tournament for the fourth consecutive season.

Shortstop Aiden Salinas was named to the second-team after putting together a breakout freshman campaign and pitcher Blake Watters was a third-team selection after putting together another strong season on the mound.

Falfurrias pitcher Nathaniel Jaramillo received honorable mention after helping the Jerseys advance to the Region IV-3A final.
