Iowa man convicted in murder of woman who had protective order against him
An Iowa man accused of killing an Eldora woman despite a protective order prohibiting him from having contact with her has been convicted of first-degree murder in her death. A Hardin County jury found Nathan Bahr, 30, guilty July 11 of first-degree murder. Bahr faces a mandatory term of life in prison without parole when he is sentenced Sept. 6.

One Person Stabbed During Fight at Ped Mall in Iowa City Sunday
(Iowa City, IA) -- One person is recovering after a fight ended in a stabbing at the Iowa City ped mall over the weekend. Police say a fight happened Sunday night when 34 year-old Sean Christopher pulled a knife and stabbed someone involved. The victim was stabbed in the stomach. Christopher is facing multiple charges. Neither the identity of the victim nor the victim's condition have been released.

Transient arrested after causing disturbance at Town and Campus
An area transient faces drug charges after causing a disturbance at the Town and Campus Apartments on Arthur Street. Police were called to the complex Friday just before 2am on reports of a disturbance allegedly being caused by 31-year-old Porscha Curry. When told she was under arrest for disorderly conduct, she allegedly began to pull away from officers and flailed her body multiple times. He actions reportedly caused bodily injury to an officer.

WATERLOO, Iowa (KGAN) — Waterloo police officers were legally justified in shooting and killing John Carl Piazza on March 25.
