North Shore Child & Family Guidance Center has opened a lactation room at the Leeds Place, which will support the needs of breastfeeding mothers in the area. Leeds Place is the Guidance Center’s facility in Westbury. It offers various services that the Guidance Center provides, including early childhood programs, counseling and education.

One of those incoming 15 are Nick Bernardo, a local product from Hauppauge, N.Y., was previously with the North American Hockey League's (NAHL) Maine Nordiques. Bernardo scored 32 points in 57 games during the 2023-24 campaign and showcased his standout defensive abilities throughout the season. Floral Park-Bellerose Schools Host Summer Enrichment Program
From July 8 through August 2, the Floral Park-Bellerose Union Free School District is hosting a Summer Enrichment Program for its students. There are five programs that students may choose from, each one with various classes. One STEAM-focused program offers classes in edible sciences, coding, robotics, rocketry. There are also programs centered in sports and fitness, visual arts world languages and culture and performing arts.
