Pac-12 secures all existing bowl opportunities for 2024 and 2025 seasons
BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The Pac-12 announced it retained all existing bowl opportunities for the 2024 and 2025 football seasons. As part of the agreements, the league has worked in conjunction with the ACC, Big 12 and Big Ten conferences to solidify each affiliation, including DIRECTV Holiday Bowl, Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl, SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl, LA Bowl Hosted By Gronk, Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl, Valero Alamo Bowl and the ESPN bowl pool.
These 62 grocery stores in Oregon would be sold in giant Kroger-Albertsons merger
Kroger and Albertsons have identified 62 stores they are planning to sell in Oregon if a proposed $25 billion merger between the two grocery companies is approved. The merger announced in 2022 calls for hundreds of stores to be divested in a merger representing 20% of the country's grocery market, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Feds award $1.5 billion toward replacement I-5 bridge
Federal transportation officials on Friday awarded $1.5 billion toward a replacement for the Interstate 5 bridge across the Columbia River. The grant, awarded from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s fund for major bridge projects, brings the total federal allocation to $2.1 billion, and could put the project within reach of its expected price tag — if bridge crossings are tolled to cover the remaining cost. Oregon and Washington have each pledged $1 billion in state funds.
