Driver dies days after I-287 crash in Middlesex County
A 73-year-old Somerset County man died of his injuries five days after a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 287 in Piscataway, authorities said. Bill Schocklin was driving south near milepost 8.8 at about 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday when when his car veered off the highway, struck a guard rail and overturned, according to State Police.

Union County Connects Unveil Brand New Mural in Roselle Park
ROSELLE PARK, NJ — The borough grew a little brighter recently, as Union County Connects, a 501(c)(3) charity that advocates for safer trail networks in Union County, unveiled a brand-new mural featuring a historical rendition of the Rahway Valley Railroad Engines. Painted on the Son-Rise Document Solutions building at the outskirts of the borough, the mural welcomes travelers into Roselle Park. The mural was created by a Jersey City-based street artist, known as "Distort", who has composed many murals throughout New Jersey. The number of newly listed homes hitting the real estate market surged by over 30% in Hunterdon County last month, the latest figures from Realtor.com showed. Hunterdon County had 192 homes listed in June, up from 146 last year, according to the data. Cumberland County saw the second largest increase, at 19.40%.

CEDAR GROVE, NJ - Registration for Cedar Grove Fall Cross Country is now open, according to the Cedar Grove Department of Recreation. Limited spots are available for the Fall Cross Country Clinic, which is open to students in grades 1 through 3. The Clinic will be held on Tuesdays from September 17 to October 15 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Cedar Grove Park. It costs $50 per runner to register, with a $10 late fee after September 4. There's Still Time To Sign Up for Week 2 of Nutley All-Star Soccer Camp
NUTLEY, NJ - Another great week of Soccer Camp returns to Nutley's Owens Field next week with Nutley High School Soccer Coach Mike DiPiano. For the past 14 years, DiPiano's coed soccer camp has become a township staple, with many participants eventually going on to play soccer in high school and college. Many later worked at the camp when they were in high school. The program is coed, for young people in grades 1 to grade 8. The cost is $150 for the week, which is lower than many of the soccer camps in the region. Camp dates are July 29 to August 1.
