A new Starbucks store is coming to Hicksville.

Westbury-based Triple S Group, which is building the new Starbucks, purchased the .57-acre development site at 506 West Old Country Road for $2.1 million.

The property was formerly occupied by Lemon Auto Sales and the dealership’s 2,700-square-foot building was demolished to make way for the developer to construct the 2,500-square-foot store for the coffee chain.

The development site had been contracted to purchaseby Strategic Capital Enterprises a few years ago and the contract was later assigned to Triple S Group.

Guy Canzoneri and Christian Standerwick of Berkshire Hathaway Commercial Services represented Triple S Group in the purchase contract assignment, while Raj Whadwa of Global Realty Services represented the seller, Greg Markotsis, in the sales transaction.

Russel Helbling of Katz & Associates, who serves as the area’s exclusive leasing representative for Starbucks, represented the chain in the lease of the Hicksville store, which is expected to open by the spring of next year.
