Water rate increase advised for AuSable Township
AuSABLE Twp. – The AuSable Township Board of Trustees was informed of a suggested 3% rate increase for water bills at its regular July 15 meeting. The suggestion for a rate increase was made by Cecelia Mende with Baker Tilly Municipal Advisors, the firm that was hired by the township to complete an analysis of the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) program. Mende presented to the board at the meeting and was available to answer any questions. The 3% annual increase would start in 2025 if approved by the board of trustees.
