Twins provide an update on Jose Miranda after he was hit in the head by a pitch
Jose Miranda needed to exist Sunday's game in Detroit after the Minnesota Twins third baseman was struck in the side of the head by a pitch. It happened in the top of the first inning, when an Alex Faedo fastball came high and inside, hitting Miranda in the side of his helmet and sending him to the dirt. Miranda stayed down for a considerable amount of time, with the Twins training staff attending to him, but he was eventually able to get up and walk back to the clubhouse under his own power.
