Meet our rural family medicine residents
Second-year rural family medicine residents Dr. Ashlyn Fisher and Dr. Emily Roseberry have begun their rural training in Pittsburg. The rural family medicine residency at the Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas is a collaboration between the University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC) in Kansas City, Kansas, and CHC/SEK. Through the residency, residents learn and train in different environments that offer the best of two worlds: urban and rural.
JC Breakfast Optimist Club Learned About Harmony Fest
On July 17, JC Breakfast Optimist Club’s member/guest speaker was Martine Chery- Hilaire. Martine is originally from Haiti and has lived in Junction City for 15 years having been petitioned by her mother to be able to come to the United States. After five years, Martine joined the Army and ended up at Fort Riley. Martine owns and operates the Chez Matou Green Machine Food Truck located on North Washington Street in Junction City.
