Longville Lakes Arts Center has a new home

The Longville Lakes Arts Alliance, also known as the Longville Lakes Arts Center recently moved into a new storefront at the corner of County Road 5 and State Highway 84 in downtown Longville.

The Art Center’s new space will provide the community a center for all kinds of arts events.

“Our vision is to establish Longville as a thriving hub for artistic exploration and community engagement,” their website states. “By offering classes, a stained-glass studio and gathering space, we aspire to create an environment where everyone can unleash their artistry. As the Longville Lakes Arts Center, we envision a future where art flourishes year-round and individuals of all ages come together to learn, create and celebrate the beauty of expression.”

Here are some weekly activities:

Coffee, Crafts, and Conversion each Thursday, 10 a.m. to noon. Bring an art project to work on with friends or try out a new craft with the group.

Free Kids’ Classes are offered from 1-2 pm on Thursdays all summer long. Ages 6-12 are welcome.

Be sure to visit the “Used But Useful Arts & Craft Supplies Store.”

Donate your surplus supplies, buy used supplies, repurpose donations, and have fun with (or without) the grandkids when you shop at the Used But Useful Store in the Arts Center. Stop by to review the list of acceptable donations.

LLAA also hosts a Spring and Fall Wine and Cheese Reception, a Garage Sale in June, Octoberfest in September, and the Longville location of Arts Off 84 on Labor Day Weekend.
