    Fayette County man arrested after leading police on chase with missing front tire

    LANSING, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Fayette County man has been arrested after leading police on a chase with a missing front tire.

    According to a criminal complaint, Jonathan Allen Richmond, 38 of Lookout, was apprehended on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, after failing to stop his Ford F150 pickup truck missing a front tire.

    Police attempted to pull over Richmond on Lansing Edmond Road, activating emergency lights and sirens.

    Richmond continued to Edmond Road, ignoring commands to stop.

    Richmond parked at a residence on Edmond Road, where officers detained him.

    It was discovered that Richmond had violated a Domestic Violence Protective Order issued the previous day.

    He underwent DUI standardized field sobriety tests and registered a 0.269 on a Preliminary Breath Test.

    Following his arrest for fleeing in a vehicle while DUI and D.V.P. violation, Richmond resisted processing, damaged property at the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department, and threatened to fight police.

    Richmond faces charges of fleeing in a vehicle while DUI, D.V.P. violation, assault on law enforcement, and destruction of property.

    He is currently at Southern Regional Jail on a $50,000 bond.
