Husband and wife dead after crash in Raleigh County

RALEIGH COUNTY, WC (LOOTPRESS) – On Sunday, April 14th, 2024, at approximately 9:30 am, Senior Trooper S.A. Wickline responded to a three-vehicle collision in the 1800 Block of Ritter Drive in Daniels, West Virginia.

Two victims, identified as 52-year-old Dewey Raynes and his wife, 49-year-old Melinda Raynes, were pronounced deceased on the scene. The motorists in the other two vehicles involved did not obtain any life-threatening injuries and refused medical treatment.

A West Virginia State Police Crash Reconstruction Team responded to assist with the investigation.

At this time, the investigation remains active and ongoing.

No additional information will be released at this time.

I wonder if the woman who was on her phone that caused all this even stopped ??? yes I know the details from a friend who knows the man driving the truck that lost control and hit these folks. he was avoiding a woman on her phone that nearly hit the guy causing him to lose control and head on the man and wife. idiots on phones while driving causing people to die.
