BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Crescent Elementary School on Thursday received a $21,000 check for the purchase of Prometheus boards for each classroom in the facility.

Delegate Kirby and Dr. Starcher were on hand at Crescent Elementary for the presentation of the funds, which also saw participation from the school’s current fourth grade class.

“It was my great honor and privilege to be able to help these students secure funding to help enhance their educational experience with new interactive boards in each classroom,” said Delegate Kirby. “I’m so proud of this school and all of the schools within my district. One of the things I’ll miss the most as my time in the House comes to an end is fighting for the educators, students and families within my district.”

Crescent Elementary praised Delegate Kirby’s efforts in a statement, declaring, “Delegate Kirby’s efforts will help Crescent receive promethean boards in every classroom next school year. The Raleigh County board of Education will fund the remaining balance of expenses for these boards. Thank you delegate Kirby and
Raleigh County Schools for putting students first!”
