HUNTINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS ) – Today, Congresswoman Miller (R-WV) toured Steel of West Virginia in Huntington and WC Hydraulics in Beaver.

While at Steel of West Virginia, Congresswoman Miller discussed the newly released EPA rules that could cripple mining operations crucial to the production of American steel.

“The Biden Administration is doing everything it can to hamper American production of essential products like steel, while driving up prices for American consumers. I have successfully challenged the EPA’s ‘Particulate Matter 2.5 rule’ to ensure that Steel of West Virginia would not be impacted.

We need every steel product produced in the United States to continue building our country, preparing our military for potential challenges from China, and sustaining our economy here in West Virginia. As the co-chair of the energy export caucus, I will continue to advocate for the coal and steel industry,” said Congresswoman Miller.

While at WC Hydraulics, Congresswoman Miller discussed crucial tax policy that could cripple employee owned businesses if allowed to expire or change as well as the state of manufacturing in America.

“As a member of the Ways and Means Committee, I have played a key role in advancing trade and tax policies that protect American manufacturing. By cementing

President Trump’s Tax Cuts and Jobs Act into law, the United States will be able to accelerate manufacturing, stimulate the economy, and create thousands of jobs in West Virginia.

I will also continue to advance trade policies that protect American businesses from unfair practices from bad actors while opening markets for our products abroad. Through implementing more of these tax and trade policies, West Virginia will remain a great place to live, work, and raise a family,” said the congresswoman.
