    Lewis County Schools to deliver meals to students over summer

    LEWIS COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Lewis County Schools will again deliver meals to the home of students during summer break.

    According to Lewis County Schools, the federal government has just extended the ability for State Child Nutrition Programs to allow meal delivery again this summer.

    School officials have published a survey to determine interest and participation.

    Summer Food meal boxes are for any student or child between the ages of 2 and 18 who reside in Lewis County.

    The shelf-stable boxes will be prepared and shipped directly to the child’s home.

    A form must be filled out online to have the shelf-stable meal kits delivered to your doorstep free of charge.

    The form will need to be completed for each child.

    Delivery will begin the week of June 3, 2024, and continue through August 8, 2024.
