    Man arrested after maliciously wounding coworker at construction site

    RANDOLPH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One man has been arrested after maliciously wounding a coworker during a fight at a West Virginia construction site.

    According to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, on Friday, August 2, 2024, at approximately 8:02 AM, Randolph County 911 Center received a report of a fight from the victim at Davis Medical Center.

    Deputy J. Wolfe responded to the scene and spoke with the victim, who reported that while working at the Mikey Heart Bridge construction site on US RT 48 in Randolph County, Jarrod Kile began fighting with another employee.

    The victim attempted to separate the two, leading to Kile attacking him.

    The victim sustained severe swelling on his forehead, a laceration above his eye, and a bloody nose and lip.

    The victim received initial treatment at Davis Medical Center and later informed Deputy Wolfe that Kile had punched him several times, resulting in four broken bones in his face.

    Later that day, the Sheriff’s Office was informed that the victim was transferred to Ruby Memorial Hospital due to a brain bleed.

    Medical staff confirmed he suffered a broken nose, a broken orbital bone, and a brain bleed, requiring surgery.

    A criminal complaint for Malicious Wounding (felony) was filed against Kile, and a warrant was issued by the Randolph County Magistrate.

    Kile was arrested on August 6, 2024, by West Virginia State Police in Pendleton County and transported to Tygart Valley Regional Jail.

    On August 7, 2024, an additional felony charge of Malicious Wounding was filed against Kile.

    The warrant was served by West Virginia State Police at Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
