    Frosty Green appointed to Coalfields Expressway Authority

    BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Numerous appointments/reappointments saw approval during Tuesday’s Regular Session meeting of the Raleigh County Commission, including that of Frosty Green as a member of the Coalfields Expressway Authority.

    The appointment of Green was the first of several appointment-related considerations to be presented during the most recent meeting of the commission and entails a term which will be set to expire on July 22, 2026.

    The Board of the Raleigh County Planning & Zoning Committee was also an issue of discussion during the session, with commission members voting to approve the reappointment of Tim Kosut to the board for a three-year term which will expire on August 6, 2027.

    Also approved during the meeting along with the reappointment of Kosut and the appointment of Frosty Green was the reappointment of Bishop Fred T. Sims to the Public Defenders Corporation Board of Raleigh County in a term set to expire on August 17, 2024.

    Earlier in the meeting, the “New Business” portion of the proceedings saw approval of a $311,601.50 pay request with regard to the Ghent Gig Ready Project, along with approval of a $50,142.50 pay request with regard to the Harper Eccles Sewer Project .

    The Raleigh County Commission will reconvene for their second meeting for the month of August on Tuesday, the 20th, with the session set to get underway beginning at 10:00am.
