    Here’s what’s happening during day six of the State Fair of West Virginia

    FAIRLEA, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The State Fair of West Virginia continues its exciting run today, Tuesday, August 13, with a lineup of entertainment, demonstrations, and attractions for all ages.

    The gates open at 8:00 AM, and visitors can enjoy carnival rides starting at 11:00 AM, with the West Virginia Lottery booth opening at 12:00 PM.

    Both the gates and carnival rides will remain open until 11:00 PM, while the lottery booth closes at 6:00 PM.

    Entertainment Highlights

    Entertainment kicks off at 10:00 AM with the FirstEnergy Live Wire Demo near the Heritage Garden, followed by a series of performances and demonstrations throughout the day.

    Visitors can catch multiple performances by Catherine Hickland on the UScellular Center Stage, beginning at 10:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 4:30 PM.

    The Hot Glass Academy, near Gate #5, will also have demonstrations throughout the day, beginning at 10:30 AM, 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM, 2:30 PM, 4:00 PM, and 6:00 PM.

    For those interested in wildlife, the Live Shark Encounter near Gate #4 offers shows at 11:00 AM, 2:00 PM, 5:00 PM, and an all-day display from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

    The Center of Grounds will host the Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show at 11:30 AM, 2:30 PM, and 6:30 PM.

    Gospel music fans can enjoy performances by the Gospel Harmony Boys at the UScellular Center Stage at 12:30 PM, 3:30 PM, and 5:30 PM.

    Special Attractions

    In addition to live entertainment, the fair offers unique attractions, such as the Butterfly Kingdom, open from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM beside the WVU Building.

    The Butterfly Kingdom provides a serene environment for guests to observe butterflies, with two 30-minute breaks at 11:30 AM and 4:00 PM for the butterflies to rest.

    The Bluegrass Bowl will feature the Draft Horse Hitch Classes at 10:00 AM as part of the Open Horse Show.

    Meanwhile, the West Virginia Building will host cooking demonstrations at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, followed by the WV Dairy Celebration at 4:00 PM.

    Grandstand Event

    The evening’s grandstand event features a performance by Anne Wilson at 7:00 PM.
