    Beckley woman arrested after pepper spraying victim, striking them with bat

    RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Beckley woman has been arrested after pepper spraying and striking an individual with a bat.

    On August 12, 2024, around 9 p.m., deputies from the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an assault at a residence on Juniper Street in Calloway Heights.

    Upon arrival, they found that the victim had been pepper-sprayed and struck with a baseball bat.

    Following an investigation, detectives charged Sarah Snider, 30, of Beckley, with malicious wounding.

    Snider was taken to the Southern Regional Jail, where she is awaiting arraignment.

    The victim was transported to a local hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.

    She is currently at Southern Regional Jail on a $20,000 bond.
