WEST VIRGINIA (LOOTPRESS) – The 2024 Little Caesars Pizza Paws campaign has successfully reached its $30,000 fundraising goal.

The campaign’s mission was to provide 200 police K-9 handlers across West Virginia and neighboring states with portable medical kits.

These kits, equipped with essential supplies, are designed to stabilize K-9s in medical emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of these vital working dogs.

According to Little Caesars, throughout April, 55 Little Caesars locations—48 in West Virginia, 5 in Kentucky, and 3 in Ohio—joined forces with Help for Animals to host the fundraiser.

Campaign thermometers were prominently displayed inside the participating locations to track progress and boost awareness of the initiative.

The campaign aimed to shine a light on the critical role of police K-9 divisions in our communities, many of which rely heavily on donations and personal contributions from the handlers themselves.

A key partner in this year’s campaign was the Kilo-9 Foundation, which will be hosting training sessions across West Virginia later this year.

These sessions will focus on multi-use training techniques using the items included in this year’s medical kits.

“We are very appreciative of our customers and community partners for helping make this year’s Pizza Pizza Paws campaign a great success,” said Vicki Dunn-Marshall, Franchisee and Owner of VDM Management Group.

“It’s an honor for us to help support the police K-9 Divisions. From tracking, drug searches, and criminal apprehension, the K-9 officers are a great asset that makes our communities safer.”

Sabrina Donahue-Moore, Marketing Director for VDM Management Group, echoed these sentiments.

“I’m extremely proud of our team members and our community for stepping up in such a great way. The officers and their K-9 partners are essential in helping find missing people and protecting our communities. It’s a great feeling knowing we provided tools to help them while they are serving our towns.”

This year marks the fifth Pizza Paws campaign. Since its inception in 2019, the campaign has steadily expanded its impact.

In previous years, Little Caesars locations have raised funds to provide police K-9 handlers with essential equipment such as first aid kits, GPS tracking collars, and A/C vehicle cooling systems.
