Concord University Esports announces Element FCU sponsorship

ATHENS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Concord University announced on Wednesday that the university’s Esports program has gained a new sponsor in Charleston-based financial co-op Element FCU (Federal Credit Union.)

The program was presented with a $10,000 check this month to kick off the partnership, solidifying a two-year agreement which will entail the presentation of an additional $6,000 in sponsorship funds during the 2025-2025 fiscal year.

“Element Federal Credit Union is proud to support Concord University’s Esports program. As a financial cooperative dedicated to entrepreneurship, innovation, financial empowerment, and community development, we believe these elements are crucial in transforming opportunities for youth,” said Element FCU CEO, Linda Bodie.

“This sponsorship reflects our own initiatives at the Element Edge in Charleston, West Virginia, where we harness the power of eSports programs to enrich our community. Our goal is to brighten lives and empower individuals to achieve success throughout their lifetime.”

As part of the partnership, Concord University President, Kendra Boggess traveled to Charleston along with the Concord Esports team to meet with Bodie and participate in a tour of the newly established Esports facility. The facility will be utilized for community outreach to assist in bridging the gap between the generation of today and education in finance.
