BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club of Beckley hosted its Inaugural Steak N’ Burger fundraiser event on Wednesday at the Beckley Moose Lodge.

The Steak N’ Burger fundraiser event brought together an array of community members who came together to support bright futures for Raleigh County youth.

Featured along with the delicious entrees from which the event took its name were music, dancing, various performances from Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club members, and a live auction conducted by none other than Richard Jarrell.

During the event, Jarrell praised the efforts of the Salvation Army in securing the new Beckley facility which opened its doors in May of this year.

“I’d been hearing about the vision that the Board of the Salvation Army had about the new building. I will tell you, I didn’t see it happening. didn’t see that there would be a way,” said Jarrell. But God made a way for that building to be built.”

Representatives from a number of local organizations made their way out to support the efforts of the Salvation Army , including members of the Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce , Beckley Events, Raleigh County Parks & Recreation Authority, Raleigh County Commission, and more.
