Man stole numerous items including plastic tote of children’s toys

FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Montgomery man broke into a garage and stole numerous items, including a plastic tote containing children’s toys.

On Sunday, August 11, 2024, security footage captured Shane Myers unlawfully entering a homeowner’s garage at around 1:00 AM. He was seen entering and exiting the garage twice, taking several items without permission.

The victim noted the following missing items: a #8 extension cord valued at approximately $75, various copper piping worth about $50, a clear plastic bag with assorted pipe fittings and valves estimated at $75, a large bucket of tools and construction items valued around $200, and a plastic tote containing children’s toys and balls worth about $100.

It was also reported that the extension cord, the bag of fittings and valves, and some copper piping were found down the road and retrieved by the victim.

The estimated value of the stolen items is $500, with about $200 worth recovered. Statements and photographs of the scene and the found items were documented, and the victim provided security footage.
