    Two dead following shooting in West Virginia

    MARTINSBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A shooting at a residence on East Burke Street in Martinsburg has left two men dead, the Martinsburg Police Department reported on Monday.

    The incident occurred just before 3 PM at 326 E. Burke Street, prompting a response from local law enforcement.

    Upon arrival, officers found one male victim dead inside the residence.

    A second male victim was discovered near the rear entrance of the home. He was rushed to Berkeley Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

    Both victims had sustained gunshot wounds.

    The police have stated that they believe the two men were the only individuals involved in the incident, and there is no ongoing threat to public safety.

    The investigation is still active, and a section of East Burke Street remains closed to traffic as authorities continue their work.

    The names of the victims have not been released, as the police are ensuring that their families are notified first.

    The Martinsburg Police Department is urging anyone with information related to the shooting to contact them at 304-264-2100.
