Body found in West Virginia, identity unknown

MORGANTOWN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – An unidentified body was discovered near a bridge on Don Knotts Blvd. on the evening of August 20, 2024.

The Morgantown Police Department responded to the scene at 6:43 PM following a report of the discovery.

Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

While the identity of the individual has not yet been determined, officers have stated that they do not believe the deceased is a documented missing person, and no foul play is suspected at this time.

However, this conclusion is pending the results of the medical examiner’s investigation.

The Morgantown Police Department plans to notify the next of kin once the individual has been identified.
