    Tree knocks out power for multiple customers in Fayette County

    BECKWITH, WV (LOOTPRESS) – UPDATE 3:43 PM 8/28/24: Power has been restored to all 34 customers.

    ORIGINAL STORY: A tree has knocked out power for multiple customers in Fayette County.

    According to Appalachian Power, 34 customers are currently without power in the Beckwith area of Fayette County.

    The outage was caused by tree contact with power lines at around 10:22 AM Wednesday morning.

    The Fayette County Human Society is one of the victims of the outage and will be closed until further notice.

    The estimated restoration time is 5:30 PM this evening.
