Volleyball Roundup: Wyoming East and Shady Spring win tri-matches Thursday

Wyoming East and Shady Spring each collected two wins Thursday night.

The Warriors swept Montcalm (25-8, 25-5) and Liberty (25-18, 25-18), while the Tigers shutout Greenbrier West (25-18, 25-10) and Nicholas County (25-12, 25-9).

Carli Raye led Wyoming East with 18 kills and Kaitlyn Trent dropped 12 kills. Lauren Staton had 21 assists and Karlee Lusk added 14 assists. Lusk also had six kills, four aces and six digs.

Shady Spring had an array of attacker Thursday in its victories including Alivia Stover with 12 kills, while Baylee Richmond and Rachel Mann had 11 kills each. Allie Fragile dropped seven kills.

Reagan Mann had 26 assists and Rachel Mann recorded 14 assists. Rachel Mann completed the triple-double with 16 digs as well.

Bristol Bloomfield had eight digs and 14 receptions. Kenidi Creager recorded 18 digs and 18 receptions.
