    Pat McAfee Show brings thousands to WVU campus for live broadcast

    MORGANTOWN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – It was a homecoming of sorts in Morgantown this afternoon as the Pat McAfee Show drew thousands to campus and featured discussions with multiple WVU alumni.

    Former Mountaineer kicker and NFL player Pat McAfee returned to West Virginia University to host “The Pat McAfee Show” live from the Downtown campus on Friday.

    The event aired from noon to 2 PM on ESPN2 and from 2 to 3 PM on YouTube, and took take place outside the Life Sciences Building.

    “We are very excited Pat is bringing his show to Morgantown on Friday,” said Wren Baker, University Vice President and Director of Athletics ahead of the show. “Mountaineers everywhere are proud of Pat and his success.”

    Students and fans joined the live show audience at 9 AM. McAfee said attendees were waiting to enter the event as early as 3 AM Friday morning.

    The show featured appearances from former WVU Football standouts Owen Schmitt, Pat White, and Adam “Pacman” Jones.

    WVU Football Head Coach Neal Brown, QB Garrett Greene, and Athletic Director Wren Baker were also guests on Friday’s show.

    “The Pat McAfee Show” features a range of special guests from the sports world and beyond, including NFL, NBA, MLB stars, and WWE superstars like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

    The show comes a day before WVU kicks off the 2024 football season against Penn State at Milan Puskar Stadium, with kickoff set for noon on Saturday, August 31.

    Fox’s “Big Noon Kickoff” will also be onsite for pregame coverage beginning at 9 AM on Saturday.
