    Alfred Jennings, Jr. sentenced to prison on burglary, domestic charges

    FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Alfred Jennings, Jr. of Oak Hill was sentenced to prison on Thursday in relation to a 2023 break-in incident.

    Fayette County Prosecuting Attorney , Anthony Ciliberti, Jr. reports that, on October 11, 2024, Jennings broke into the residence of a former girlfriend in the Mt. Hope area. The break-in was followed by a physical attack which itself followed a verbal dispute earlier in the day in which Jennings is said to have threatened the victim.

    Investigators with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department indicate that the victim involved exhibited bruising and scratches on both sides of her face as a result of the attack. Law enforcement made note that Jennings is the subject of five criminal convictions pertaining to domestic violence offenses.

    On Thursday, August 29, 2024, 62-year-old Alfred Jennings, Jr. was sentenced to one to fifteen years in prison by Circuit Court Judge Paul M. Blake, Jr for felony burglary. Jennings has also been charged with misdemeanor domestic battery – second offense, for which he will be required to serve a minimum of one year in jail. The sentenced were ordered to be served concurrently and Jennings must spend a minimum of one year in prison before becoming eligible for parole.

    The case was prosecuted by Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, Jennifer D. Crane.

    Just one year? He hits a woman. That should be worth at least 3. Coward. You don't hit a woman, period. You walk away, defend yourself, whatever it takes, but you don't hit a woman. Man up!
