Multiple people arrested in McDowell County

MCDOWELL COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Multiple people have been arrested following a search warrant in McDowell County .

On September 9, 2024, at approximately 2:30 PM, the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office and the Southern Regional Drug and Violent Crime Task Force executed a search warrant in the Sandy Huff area near Iaeger, McDowell County. The execution of the search warrant resulted in the following arrests:

• Steven Coleman: Drug delivery resulting in death
• Amy Gibson: Capias for unlawful possession
• James Coleman: Unlawful possession
• Rachel Gibson: Unlawful possession of methamphetamine and MDMA
• Cynthia Payne: No seatbelt, driving on a suspended license, and possession of heroin

In addition to the arrests, a quantity of illicit drugs and U.S. currency were seized.

All suspects are currently awaiting arraignment and the setting of bonds.
