SOUTH CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One man has been arrested after striking a healthcare worker in the mouth at a hospital.

According to a criminal complaint, on August 27, at approximately 5:13 PM, police were dispatched to an assault call at Thomas Hospital in South Charleston.

Upon police arrival, they took the suspect, 39-year-old Dustin Griffy of Marmet, into custody and spoke with him.

Griffy admitted to hitting the female victim in the face with his fist.

The victim told police that she was asking Griffy procedural questions when he then got angry abruptly, ran, and struck her in the mouth.

Griffy was arrested and charged with Battery on a Health Care Provider.

He is currently at South Central Regional Jail on a $1,500 cash-only bond.

1500$ bail? WTF. Maybe some local Dexter can watch for when he gets out on bail. There is no need for such POS existence. That is ridiculous to have a $1500 bail. Kamala must have been working the Mag. desk that day in South Charleston. Well maybe not, she would have just let him out without any bail.
