RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) has reported receiving multiple threats targeting schools within the county as of Wednesday evening.

Authorities believe these threats may be part of a wider trend impacting schools across West Virginia and other states.

While officials do not currently consider the threats to be credible, the sheriff’s office is taking precautions.

In response, security will be heightened at Raleigh County schools over the coming days to ensure the safety of students and staff, according to the RCSO.

Whenever my son gets of age and has to attend school, I will be personally homeschooling him myself as I don’t want to deal with this kind of stuff. Summers county needs to be more considerate and have precautions as well for this week and the upcoming weeks because of the shooting happening in Georgia. It’s like literally not even safe to go anywhere anymore or even let your kids outside because of the dumb stuff parents/kids choose to do. Gun safety is a number one factor and needs to be taught more on so younger people know how to properly use a gun in situations that occur.

It's getting to the point where parents can't even send their children to school for fear of another child rather than an adult not just threatening but carrying out a mass shooting. This world has gone mad.
