CRAWLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A series of 911 calls led to a standoff and eventual arrest of a man involved in multiple violent incidents in Crawley.

Local authorities responded to reports of disturbances in the 14200 block of Midland Trail West, where a male suspect, identified as Clinton Kyle, allegedly assaulted family members, damaged vehicles, and resisted arrest.

According to initial reports, a witness contacted authorities after witnessing Kyle throw a brick at his vehicle. Shortly after, Kyle’s mother called 911, stating that her son had become violent during a visit to his residence. She said Kyle claimed to be “ God ” and attacked her from behind, knocking her off the porch. He then threatened her husband and smashed the windshield of their vehicle with a drill. Both suffered minor injuries.

Later in the evening, a third 911 call came in from another victim, who reported that Kyle had thrown an object at her vehicle on Route 60, causing damage.

Officers arrived at the scene and attempted to engage Kyle, but he fled into his home, ignoring police commands. After several hours of negotiation attempts, the West Virginia State Police Special Response Team was called in. A search warrant was obtained, and officers entered the residence, locating Kyle in a bedroom. He refused to cooperate and resisted arrest, attempting to grab one of the officers’ rifles.

Inside the home, officers discovered an assault rifle and ammunition, despite Kyle being prohibited from possessing firearms due to previous felony convictions. A subsequent search uncovered two additional firearms and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.

Kyle was taken into custody, treated for minor injuries, and transported to Southern Regional Jail , where he awaits arraignment on charges including domestic battery and unlawful possession of firearms.
