    Huntington Police seek man wanted for questioning in wife’s death

    HUNTINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Huntington Police Department (HPD) is asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted for questioning in the death of his wife, Michelle Daniels.

    According to HPD, on Friday, Sept. 20, officers responded to a welfare check at 928 12th Ave. in Huntington, where they found Michelle Daniels, 47, with severe injuries.

    She was taken to a local hospital but died two days later, on Sunday, Sept. 22.

    Huntington Police have opened a homicide investigation and are looking for Michelle’s husband, Robert Lee Daniels, 55, for questioning.

    Daniels is also wanted by West Virginia State Police on separate felony charges, including threats of terroristic acts and retaliation against a public official.

    Daniels has connections to Huntington, Mingo County, and Pike County, Kentucky. He is considered armed and dangerous. Police urge anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact 911 immediately.

    The investigation is being handled by Huntington Police detectives with assistance from the Mingo County Sheriff’s Department, West Virginia State Police, and Kentucky State Police.
