    Man arrested after dragging woman into house, slamming her to the ground hitting and choking her

    CAMPBELLS CREEK, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One man has been arrested for dragging a woman into a house and slamming her to the ground to hit and choke her.

    According to a criminal complaint, on September 8, police responded to a residence in Campbell’s Creek in Kanawha County in reference to an assault.

    Upon police arrival, they met with the victim who was observed to be crying.

    The victim informed police that she was going to pick up 22-year-old James Stoops when he dragged her into the house and began hitting her in the face with a closed fist.

    According to the victim, Stoops then slammed her on the ground and began choking her from the front while on top of her on the ground with both hands around her throat.

    Police observed red marks around the victim’s neck and bruising and redness around the victim’s face and left eye.

    Stoops was arrested and charged with Strangulation. He is currently out on bond.

    It's not a man! I'd say animal but animals have more compassion than this thing! He is a danger to women in society and should be dealt with accordingly!!!!!!!!!!!!
