With the river rapidly approaching the campground, residents and visitors are advised to secure their property and belongings immediately.

An additional 1 to 2 inches of rain is expected throughout Friday, further increasing the risk of flooding.

The Giles County Sheriff’s Office stresses the importance of acting quickly to avoid dangerous situations.

Extra personnel are stationed both on the roads and in the 911 center throughout the storm.

In case of emergencies, people are urged to call 911 immediately.
