HINTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Due to rising water levels, the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources (WVDNR) has closed the campground at Bluestone Lake, along with the boat launch at Pits Road.

Officials have indicated that the boat launch below the park office is also expected to close soon.

If water levels continue to rise, the main park road between the office and Route 20 may also be blocked. In that event, travelers are advised to use the alternate route via Surveyors Branch Road.

Park staff have successfully relocated all campers and are in the process of contacting those with upcoming reservations.
