    Patience urged as Raleigh County fire departments inundated with emergency calls

    BEAVER, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Fire departments across Raleigh County are grappling with an overwhelming number of calls due to severe weather conditions today, September 27, 2024.

    The Beaver Volunteer Fire Department (VFD) issued a statement urging residents to remain patient as first responders, 911 dispatchers, linemen, and Department of Highways (DOH) workers strive to manage the increased number of emergencies.

    Beaver VFD is also advising the public to exercise caution, particularly around downed power lines and flooded areas.

    Residents are reminded not to touch or cross any downed lines or enter high water areas, as they pose serious hazards.
