Dive teams called to assist locating victim in Elk River

WEBSTER SPRINGS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Multiple agencies called to assist locating a victim in the Elk River.

Early this morning, the Richwood Fire Department dive team and Summersville Fire Department dive team were called to Webster Springs to assist the local volunteer fire department in locating a victim believed to be in the Elk River. The Summersville Fire Department responded with Squad 2 and its smaller boats.

After a thorough search of the suspected area, the divers were able to locate the victim.

The agency will not be releasing any information about the victim.

They extend their thoughts and prayers to the victim’s family.
