    West Virginia woman sentenced for meth trafficking

    ELKINS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Pansy Loraine Ray, 44, of Elkins, West Virginia, has been sentenced to 36 months in federal prison for her involvement in methamphetamine trafficking.

    According to U.S. Attorney William Ihlenfeld, Ray assisted Donald Cantrell, Jr., a co-defendant, by concealing drugs and proceeds from drug sales.

    A search of Ray’s home revealed 220 grams of methamphetamine, $18,000 in cash, and drug paraphernalia.

    In addition to her prison sentence, Ray will serve five years of supervised release. Cantrell, the primary defendant in the case, was sentenced to 188 months in prison on October 2, 2024.

    The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen Warner, and the investigation was led by the Mountain Region Drug Task Force.

    Chief U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Kleeh presided over the case.
