Native West Virginia couple opens Child Development Center in NC

MOORESVILLE, NC (LOOTPRESS) – Discovery Point Child Development Centers , a well-known educational childcare franchise, is set to open a new center in Mooresville this fall. The new facility, which is scheduled to open in November 2024, will feature a 14,000-square-foot building with 12 classrooms, offering programs for infants through school-age children, including before and after-school care and summer camp options.

Discovery Point, which has been serving communities since 1988, now operates in over 50 locations across the Southeast, with centers in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee.

The Mooresville center will be owned and operated by local residents Tom and Nicole Beagle, alongside John and Nicole Wells. Both families bring a wealth of professional experience to the new venture.

Tom Beagle , originally from Maryland, has a degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from UNC Charlotte. He has 14 years of experience in sales and franchise consulting, currently running a wholesale gasoline division. His wife, Nicole Beagle , grew up in upstate New York and has a master’s degree in K-12 education. She previously taught third grade at Stoney Creek Elementary.

John and Nicole Wells , both natives of West Virginia, are dental professionals who own their own practices. John graduated from West Virginia University’s dental school in 1995, and the couple has been married since 2014, with two children.
