PARKERSBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Wood County burglar was arrested by authorities on Wednesday following the discovery of video footage depicting the individual behind the acts in question.

The Parkersburg Police Department reports that, on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, an investigation conducted by Detective Rickman of the PPD led to the arrest of 42-year-old Parkersburg resident, Mark Anthony Martino.

During Detective Rickman’s investigation, video surveillance footage in the applicable neighborhood led authorities to the identification of Martino as a suspect in a residential burglary investigation.

Investigating officers were able to obtain a search warrant for Martino’s Wood County residence, resulting in the discovery of multiple items reported to have been stolen.

Following the arrest, the Wood County burglar was arraigned by a Wood County Magistrate and was issued a $20,000 bond. Martino was unsuccessful in posting bond at the time of his arraignment and was taken into custody by authorities.
