Lorain City Schools kindergartener dies unexpectedly

LORAIN, Ohio (WJW) – A Lorain City Schools kindergartener has died unexpectedly, the district announced on social media.

In a Thursday message to the “Titan Community” on the Lorain City Schools Facebook page , officials said a Palm Elementary kindergartener passed away.

“Our hearts are heavy, and we extend our deepest condolences to the family and all who knew this beloved child,” the post said.

Officials did not reveal the age of the child, when the child died or the circumstances.

“In moments like these, we are reminded of the strength of our school community. We come together not just as educators, students, and parents, but as a family. We ask for your thoughts and support for all those affected by this loss,” the post continued . “Let us hold each other close and remember the joy that our children bring to our lives every day.”
