LORANGER, La. ( WGNO ) — Two women, who are accused of stealing puppies off of a Loranger back porch, have been arrested after turning themselves in to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office on Thursday, July 4.
According to the TPSO, 31-year-old Sarah Folse and 52-year-old Deanna Witten, both from Amite, have been booked on one count of felony theft and trespassing after they allegedly took three German Shepherd puppies off of a homeowner’s back porch on Saturday, June 22.
TPSO deputies said they responded to a home in the 17000 block of Highway 40 when they were informed by the homeowner that two women had allegedly pulled into his driveway in an unknown white vehicle and took the puppies from off of their leashes.
The homeowner was alerted to the activity by his home security camera footage after bringing the puppies outside to use the bathroom.
