Jul. 5—The body of Justin Shane Letson was recovered from the Tennessee River at about 2:30 p.m. Friday, according to the Decatur police. Isolated rain chances will remain possible into the evening hours, but most locations will stay relatively dry. With clearing skies, high temperatures still managed to reach the upper 80s and low 90s. However, it feels closer to the triple digits when you factor in the high humidity in place across the region. Expect a cold front to sweep through the area overnight bringing lower humidity levels and slightly cooler air. Overnight lows will be comfortable and trending near normal in the low and mid 70s.

Funeral arrangements made for Lawrence County deputy killed in crash
LAWRENCE COUNTY, Tenn. (WZTV) — Funeral arrangements have been made for a Middle Tennessee deputy who tragically lost his life in a crash Wednesday, just before the holiday. Anthony Michael Cutcher, 36, of Pulaski, Tennessee passed away at Southern TN Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg. Cutcher was born in North Carolina, but a Tennessee native since 1995.
