The Bexar County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help to find a missing 14-year-old girl who may have been catfished by a man she met on social media. Anna-Alexandra Arroyave-Ortiz left her home at about 3:45 p.m. on Sunday in the 6700 block of Smith Road in San Antonio, Texas.

The teen may be traveling with a man who goes by the name "Cesar" and could be in "grave danger," Sheriff Javier Salazar said, adding that she may have been tricked into thinking the man was someone else. People should consider calling 911 if they see her, he said.

"It's not outside the realm of possibility that this young lady could end up a victim of human trafficking," Salazar said.

The pair may still be in San Antonio, but investigators said yesterday that they may be traveling cross country to Minnesota. The FBI is assisting in the search. Deputies said they did not have a description of the vehicle the man is driving.

Arroyave-Ortiz was wearing a black hooded sweater, torn blue jeans, and white Converse tennis shoes on Sunday. She is 5'4", weighs 164 pounds and has brown eyes with black hair. Additionally, Anna-Alexandra was seen carrying a backpack and a white keepsake box when she left.

Anyone with information about Arroyave-Ortiz should call the Bexar County Sheriff's Office at 210-335-6000 or email the BCSO Missing Persons Unit at missingpersons@bexar.org.
