Potbelly Franchisee Adds Halal Guys, Plus More Multi-Unit News
The Halal Guys signed a five-unit agreement to mark its entry into South Carolina. Shak Patel, a multi-unit Potbelly franchisee, plans to develop Halal Guys locations in Fort Mill, Rock Hill and Columbia, South Carolina. With business partners Vrund Patel and Robert Parks, the trio formed The Carolina Guys to expand the gyro- and chicken-focused concept. Founded in 1990, The Halal Guys has more than 100 locations.

NEW ORLEANS (WMBF) - Coastal Carolina football head coach Tim Beck says he’s learned quite a bit after his first year leading the Chanticleers. “It was a great first year,” Beck said at Sun Belt Media Day in New Orleans on Tuesday. “[It was a] great learning experience for me as a head coach. They say ‘Coach your second year is going to be easier.’ They always tell you that. We got a communication system put in. We have [the] transfer portal. We have NIL. We have all kinds of things that are going on. And little changes...recruiting rule changes, new signing dates. ‘Hey coach, it’ll be easier.’ It’s never easy. It keeps going. It keeps changing. And so you just got to adapt and adjust and keep moving on.”
